Working groups

In addition to the scientific areas – the subprojects and main Areas A/B/C/Q – three working groups were set up at the beginning of the first funding period.

The background of this measure was the knowledge that the strong transdisciplinarity of Transregio 37 requires special measures to facilitate dialogue and the joint work of the different disciplines with each other and thus the networking of the entire SFB.

The target of the working groups is, on the one hand, to bring out-of-field scientists closer to the corresponding technology and terminology and on the other hand, the relaying and transfer of the newest knowledge and possibilities from the different core areas, such as, for example, laser technology or surfaces so that e.g. new laser processes, imaging modalities or innovative coating possibilities are relayed and made available to entire SFB.
